The AC Milan players have been granted two days off by Stefano Pioli following the 0-0 draw against Juventus, as confirmed by a report. The season has been long and the rest will likely have a positive effect.

Milan maintained their five-point lead over Juventus in the league table thanks to the draw yesterday. Considering that they played with a makeshift back four, starting with Yunus Musah right-back, keeping a clean sheet was indeed impressive.

According to MilanNews, the players have been granted two days off by Pioli, who praised them after the final whistle at Allianz Stadium. This means that training will resume on Tuesday at Milanello, when preparations for the Genoa game will begin.

The game against the Rossoblu is scheduled for 18:00 CEST on Sunday evening and having already equalled last season’s tally in the league, the Rossoneri will be looking to finish strong. Second place seems more or less secured, so does a spot in next year’s Supercoppa tournament.

Theo Hernandez and Fikayo Tomori will be back from the game, having served a suspension against Juve, but Davide Calabria still has one game left to sit out as he was banned for two games.
